Our Story
Growing up in a small town with limited resources, Juan and Ignacio embarked on a journey that originated from their school friendship. Through various jobs in their teenage years, the desire for success fueled their efforts. Drawing inspiration from their experiences in a painting company, Juan and Ignacio aspired to create something of their own. With basic computer skills and limited resources, they humbly initiated Central Texas Decorating using only paper and a pencil.

Many nights were spent figuring out the basics of starting and organizing a company. Initially, they took on small repairs for retail stores. Word of mouth gradually led to more significant opportunities, with Ignacio and Juan eventually handling entire new construction projects. With each new client, they embraced additional contracts.

As Central Texas Decorating gradually acquired better resources, obtaining their first computer marked a notable milestone. Ignacio concentrated on securing projects, while Juan ensured the work met high standards. As their reputation spread within the city, they reinvested in the company, acquiring improved equipment for cleaner finishes. Through tireless dedication, they transformed into a multi-million-dollar company within a few short years.

Now, with their children contributing and utilizing new technology, Central Texas Decorating aspires to be recognized as the best painters in the country. Their ongoing efforts focus on strengthening the company and increasing sales each year. The team is committed to learning with technology, striving to enhance both the company and the individuals within it. As Austin expands, so does the team's mindset, recognizing that companies don't solely grow – it's the people within them that flourish.
Relationships
At present, Gustavo holds the position of office manager and is the eldest among them. He is one of Ignacio's sons, following Carlos and Jorge. Jonathan is older than Jorge but younger than Carlos. While we may not be related by blood, we share memories and treat each other like cousins. Jonathan is Juan's only son.
Experience
Gustavo joined Central Texas Decorating in 2014, with Carlos following suit in 2016, Jonathan in 2017, and Jorge in 2018. Growing up we immersed ourselves in developing a strong passion for mastering the skills required to provide the sharpest quotes in town.
Accountability
As a family owned business accountability is really important. Everyone has to be responsible for what they do and how it affects the business. Even though we're family, we still have to make sure we're doing their part and making good decisions. Brothers might be close, but they still need to be accountable for their actions at work. Cousins might feel like siblings, but they also need to take responsibility. Fathers, as the older generation, have to lead by example and show everyone how to be accountable. It's all about making sure everyone is doing their best for the family and the business, and that everyone's actions are in line with what's best for both.
